This page contains important disclaimers about the content on PawFlicker.com and the nature of our services. It should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions.
1. Educational Content, Not Professional Advice
The content published on PawFlicker’s Knowledge Base blog — including articles, guides, and FAQs about California ESA law, AB 468, housing rights, and related topics — is provided for general educational purposes only. It is not intended as, and should not be relied upon as, legal advice, medical advice, or a substitute for individualized clinical evaluation.
Laws and guidance in this area change over time, and how a given law applies can depend heavily on your specific circumstances. If you need advice about your specific legal situation, consult a licensed attorney. If you have questions about your specific mental health needs, consult a licensed mental health professional, such as the Providers available through PawFlicker.
2. No Government Affiliation
PawFlicker is an independent, privately operated platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the ADA National Network, or any other federal, state, or local government agency. Any references to laws, regulations, or government guidance on this Site are provided for informational context only and do not imply any government endorsement or partnership.
3. Testimonials and Reviews
Reviews and testimonials published on PawFlicker.com, including on our Reviews page, reflect the individual experiences of specific clients and are shared with their knowledge. They are not paid, scripted, or edited for content. However, individual results and experiences vary, and no specific outcome — including clinical eligibility, letter issuance, or acceptance of a letter by a landlord or other third party — is guaranteed for any client based on another client’s experience.
4. No Responsibility for Animal Behavior or Damage
PawFlicker connects clients with independently licensed California therapists who conduct careful, individualized clinical evaluations before issuing an ESA or PSD letter where clinically appropriate. That evaluation addresses the client’s documented emotional or mental health needs — it does not involve, and is not intended to involve, an assessment or certification of the animal’s behavior, temperament, or training.
Neither PawFlicker nor any Provider in our network is responsible for the behavior of your animal, including any property damage, injury, or other harm caused by your animal, whether at your residence, in a rental property, or elsewhere. Responsibility for your animal’s conduct and any resulting consequences rests solely with you, as the animal’s owner or handler.
