Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information PawFlicker collects, how we use it, and the choices and rights available to you as a California resident. It works alongside our Terms and Conditions and Notice of HIPAA Privacy Practices, which governs health information specifically.

1. Who This Policy Covers

PawFlicker.com (“PawFlicker,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) serves California residents only. This Policy applies to personal information we collect through the Site, including when you use our eligibility check, create an account, contact us, or otherwise interact with PawFlicker directly. It does not cover the clinical records your independently licensed Provider maintains about your evaluation and care — those are addressed separately in our Notice of HIPAA Privacy Practices.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Contact and identity information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, phone number, and city or ZIP code, when you complete our eligibility check, create an account, or contact us.
  • Payment information processed through our payment processor, Stripe. PawFlicker does not directly store your full payment card details — Stripe handles and secures that information on our behalf.
  • Communications you send us, including messages, call or text follow-ups, and email correspondence with our team.
  • Usage and analytics information collected automatically when you browse the Site, through Google Analytics, including pages visited, general location (city/region level), device and browser type, and referral source.
  • Information about a minor, only where submitted by that minor’s parent or legal guardian in connection with a letter request made on the minor’s behalf, as described in Section 8 below.

We do not directly collect or store the clinical content of your evaluation (such as your diagnosis or treatment notes) — that information is held by your independently licensed Provider under their own recordkeeping obligations.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate the eligibility check and connect you with an appropriately licensed California Provider;
  • Process payments through Stripe and manage billing;
  • Communicate with you about your request, including by phone, text message, and email;
  • Follow up with leads and past clients regarding our services, by phone, text, or email, where you have not opted out;
  • Understand how visitors use our Site, through Google Analytics, so we can improve it;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions.

PawFlicker does not engage in cold calling. Outreach is limited to individuals who have submitted a lead, inquiry, or request through the Site, and all marketing communications include a clear opt-out option.

4. Cookies and Analytics

PawFlicker uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our Site. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to collect information about your browsing activity on our Site. We do not use advertising pixels (such as Meta/Facebook Pixel) or third-party advertising trackers.

Because we serve California residents only, this Site is designed around California privacy law (CCPA/CPRA) rather than the EU’s GDPR framework. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics tracking specifically using Google’s official Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Where technically detected, PawFlicker will honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out preference signal under California law.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With your matched Provider, so they can conduct your clinical evaluation;
  • With Stripe, to process payment for our Services;
  • With Google, through Google Analytics, for Site analytics purposes as described above;
  • Where required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request; and
  • In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

6. Data Retention

PawFlicker retains administrative information collected directly through the Site (such as eligibility-check submissions, lead, and contact information) for 60 days, after which it is deleted or de-identified, unless a longer period is required for an active client relationship, a legal obligation, or a dispute.

This retention period applies to PawFlicker’s own records only. It does not apply to the clinical records maintained independently by your Provider, which are subject to separate, longer recordkeeping requirements under California professional licensing law, as described in our Notice of HIPAA Privacy Practices.

7. Your California Privacy Rights

As a California resident, under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you and how it has been used and shared;
  • Delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you;
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (PawFlicker does not sell personal information, and does not use analytics data for cross-context behavioral advertising);
  • Non-discrimination — we will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide a lower quality of service because you exercised any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@pawflicker.com or (456) 456-1234. We will verify your identity before processing your request, consistent with CCPA requirements.

8. Children’s Privacy

PawFlicker’s Services are intended for use by adults. Where a letter request concerns a minor under 18, all accounts, forms, and communications with PawFlicker must be created and managed exclusively by that minor’s parent or legal guardian, consistent with our Terms and Conditions. PawFlicker does not knowingly collect personal information directly from minors through the Site.

9. Marketing Communications and Opt-Out

If you’ve submitted an inquiry or lead through our Site, we may follow up by phone, text message, or email regarding our services. You can opt out of these communications at any time by:

  • Replying “STOP” to any text message;
  • Clicking “unsubscribe” in any marketing email; or
  • Contacting us directly at info@pawflicker.com or (456) 456-1234.

Opting out of marketing communications does not affect communications necessary to complete an active request, such as scheduling or evaluation updates from your Provider.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information, including relying on Stripe’s PCI-compliant infrastructure for payment processing. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
